Mole Antonelliana

Turin's landmark building, the Mole Antonelliana, is the tallest brick building in Europe. At 552 feet tall, it was once the tallest structure on earth. From the top, you can look down on the city and in the distance, the Alps.

Museum of the Shroud

Turin is home to one of Christianity's most significant relics, the Shroud of Turin, believed to be Jesus' burial cloth. At the museum, you can see a replication of the shroud and negatives of the first pictures taken in 1898.

Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist

At the cathedral, you can see the real Shroud of Turin, locked in a box behind bulletproof glass, sealed from light and oxygen. It was last on display in 2000 and there won't be another viewing until the year 2025 or by order of the pope.

Turin has completely reinvented one of its defining spaces, the Lingotto, where Fiat built their cars in the early 1900s. The Lingotto stopped producing cars in 1982 and the space now holds a mall under a retractable glass roof.

Egyptian Museum

Turin's collection of Egyptian artifacts is second only to Cairo's Egyptian Museum. Only 10% of its items are on display, including a temple built for Thutmose III in 1450 B.C., a gift from Egypt to Italy for their help building the Aswan Dam.
