An old converted Victorian school plays host to the arts in Belfast. The centre presents workshops across a vast spectrum of performing arts,  from drama to dance. Classes range from the familiar to the exotic, creative writing, scriptwriting and film making to belly dancing, break dancing and salsa. You can also come along and learn contemporary African dance. The Crescent hosts the prestigious Between the Lines literary festival annually. If you are of a more musical bent, there are classes in traditional Irish instruments, like the bodhran. The Crescent also houses the Fenderesky Gallery which is  an excellent  space for contemporary art.
