San Francisco is home to hundreds of murals. Painted by people of all ages and backgrounds, the murals reflect the rich culture and diversity of this city. In May, the City government sponsors lectures and exhibitions in celebration of these unique San Francisco landmarks. In addition, the City also offers a number of guided walking tours highlighting some of the more historic murals. It is an enriching and lively way to experience the vibrant Bay Area arts scene.
