This University of New Mexico venue is known variously as "The Experimental Theatre", "Theatre X", or simply "The X". It is under the umbrella of the University's Center for the Arts, which is also home to Popejoy Hall, Rodey Theatre and the UNM Department of Theatre and Dance. Theatre X is a small, "black box" space measuring 40 feet by 60 feet and with seating for approximately 100. Shows are mainly student-produced. Many of the city's hot young talents got their start here.
