From Chicago we move to Kissimmee, FL, and visit the Gaylord Palms. Their courtyard is all done up for the holidays, showcasing decorations such as this beautiful Christmas tree.

The Gaylord Palms' ICE! features ice sculptures and slides. The sculptures include everything from a nativity scene to this year's theme, Dreamworks' Shrek.

In Asheville, NC, the Grove Park Inn hosts its National Gingerbread House Competition. Contestants from across the country bring their sugar-and-spice creations.

Judges study one of the gingerbread creations at the competition as they try to narrow the field and select a grand prize winner.

The Galt House’s annual KaLightoscope display features larger-than-life lighted holiday sculptures. The life-size gingerbread house kicks things off.

Santa wants in on the action, too. He grabs his snowboard and hits the slopes.

Neighbors of Baltimore's 34th Street get together each year to put on an amazing light display.

Inflatable characters, musical trains, and blinking angels and reindeer adorn the homes. The lights are on every night from Thanksgiving weekend to January 1.
