Istanbul Halal Meats
Continuing the tour down Sydney Road, Tony and Matt sample some cured meats at Istanbul Halal Meats. One of their specialties is Bastourma, a highly seasoned, air-dried cured beef.

Town Hall Kebab
The last stop along Sydney Road concludes at a small outdoor eatery called Town Hall Kebab, where they serve lamb chicken kebabs with fresh veggies, bread and lots of sauces.

The Alderman
The Alderman is a local bar situated next to Rumi, a Lebanese restaurant that Tony visits for dinner. The Alderman had a hole cut in the wall between them and Rumi so that bar goers would be able to order an appetizer or two while waiting for a table.

Rumi
Joseph Abboud, owner of Rumi, serves Tony a selection of Lebanese dishes from the menu. Tony samples BBQ lamb ribs, fried lamb brains, Persian goat roast and marinated BBQ quail to name a few.

Dainty Sichuan
Owners Ye Shao and Ting Li provide Tony and local chef Tony Tan with a spicy Sichuan experience at their authentic restaurant, Dainty Sichuan. Ting Li brings her experience directly from China. The 4 sit down to a meal of mouth watering chicken, spicy cumin pork spare ribs, and heart and tongue slices.

Van Mai
Chef Tony Tan suggests a walk down Victoria Street in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond. The street is laden with all types of Asian cuisine including Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese. The visit to Van Mai includes a large number of dishes such as sweet and sour soup with tamarind and carrot; chicken wings with pork and prawns; and a pancake stuffed with pork, prawns, lettuce, mint and fish sauce.

Half Moon
Tony and fellow chefs Greg Malouf, Andrew McConnell and Geoff Lindsay are treated to a 7-course meal at the chef’s table of Paul Wilson’s restaurant, Half Moon, in the Brighton neighborhood. Wilson prepares the meal that includes samplings of peanut- crusted yellow fin tuna with caramelized pork belly, sea urchin jelly and grilled lobster.

Trugo Club
Tony and Matt try out a game of Trugo at a local club in the suburb of Brunswick. Trugo is a game invented and played only in Melbourne. It started as a pastime for railway workers in the early 1900s and has now become a popular sport among local retirees.

Queen Vic Market
The Queen Victoria Market houses everything from meats and vegetables to gourmet food stalls, clothing and shoes. Tony and friend Paul Wilson make stops at the Bratwurst Shop and the Polish sausage stall before heading into the butcher aisles for some fresh kangaroo sausages.

The Royal Mail Hotel
Tony takes a 45-minute plane ride out of Melbourne to visit the small town of Dunkeld, nestled at the base of the Grampian Mountains. Here he visits Dan Hunter, chef at The Royal Mail Hotel. In this idyllic country setting Dan is able to get most of the ingredients for his cuisine including fresh eggs, fruit, vegetables and even meats
