In Travel Channel's returning series Bert the Conqueror, thrill-seeker and host, Bert Kreischer, explores the hilariously absurd, undeniably dangerous and hands-down insane challenges American towns have to offer. During each episode, Bert takes viewers on a mind-bending thrill ride to legendary events, competitions and adrenaline rushes that celebrate local culture and traditions. Bert’s on a mission to experience it all and release his inner child as he criss-crosses the country and joins locals in gut-wrenching challenges and fearless competitions. Whether he’s attempting to dive off Virginia’s Griffon, the tallest and fastest coaster in the world, or plunging 40 feet down Hawaii’s Shaka waterslide, Bert stops at nothing to showcase what the locals do for fun by celebrating the unique traditions that take place in towns across the nation.

Best known as a comedian, Bert travels the country making people laugh and discovering local attractions. His humor and authentic reaction toward these sometimes scary experiences make viewing both amusing and relatable. With a combination of passion and celebration, Bert’s mission to experience these outrageous traditions promises to wow viewers and showcase the fun found in America’s own backyards. Bert the Conqueror is a series that is fearless fun for the entire family, and this is truly evident when Bert experiences a whole new meaning of “carrying a relationship” when he completes a 278-yard obstacle course with his wife on his back in Maine’s wife-carrying competition.

When he’s not passionately discovering local traditions, thrills and competitions for Travel Channel, viewers can find Bert touring comedy clubs and colleges all over the country. Prior to becoming Travel Channel’s newest adventure seeker, Bert began a career in comedy in 1998, working at the Boston Comedy Club. Within a year, he had grabbed the attention of Will Smith, who signed him to a television development deal. Bert co-hosted The X-show on FX and made his acting debut starring in the CBS/20th Century Fox pilot, Life with David J with Elliot Gould.

Bert has also had his own stand up show in 2009 called Comfortably Dumb, and in addition has appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, Shorties Watchin Shorties, Reality Bites Back, VH-1, FX's Hurt Bert, The Shield, Last Comic Standing 2, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Rachael Ray Show, and hosted Spike TV's Fresh Baked Video Games.

A Florida native, Bert attended Florida State University. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
