Qualifications: You must be 18 years of age or older and unaffiliated with the Travel Channel, its parent, subsidiaries or affiliated companies.
Content:
* Videos should be 3 minutes or less and created from footage shot by you or your family and friends.
* Your video should consist of a recent or past trip you took alone or with friends and family. It should give the viewer an inside look into the location and or food you enjoyed.
* Footage cannot come from any other source, such as a broadcast television show or Internet broadcast.
* Still images included in your video must follow the same rules.
* Soundtracks cannot contain any music unless created by you or by someone who has given you written permission to use their music. You must be certain that the person giving permission to use their music owns the rights to that music. It's not uncommon for artists to sell those rights to whoever is producing or publishing their recording. PLEASE DO NOT use any music in your video unless you are CERTAIN you have the rights to use the music.
* Your video will not be considered for posting to this Web site or for use on air if your video contains:
1. Copyrighted material for which you do not have written permission to use;
2. Pornographic or obscene material of any kind;
3. Profanity, whether spoken or written; or
4. Subject matter unrelated to travel.
Formats: Videos must be submitted in QuickTime, MPEG1, MPEG4, Windows Media or AVI format and uploaded via this Web Site. Dimensions for your uploaded video should be 320 high x 240 wide. Larger and smaller sizes will be rejected. We can't accept files larger than 100 MB.
How to Upload Your Files:
1. Go to http://yourtrip.travelchannel.com/special/Bizarre and complete the online application form;
2. Read and click to agree to the terms and conditions, which, among other things, say that we can use and distribute your video;
3. Browse to where you have the video file on your computer, select it and then click 'Upload.'
We may post your video on our Web site or use it for promotional purposes in broadcast or other media. Due to the volume of submissions, it may take us a little while to view and/or post-submitted videos. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to your video and you may not be considered if your application form is illegible. We will not return any video submissions.
