Join Andrew Zimmern as he takes a culinary tour through Morocco, where he finds everything from lamb's head to pigeon pie on the menu!
Andrew's journey begins in one of Morocco's largest cities, Marrakech. He hits the gastronomic jackpot with a trip to the Djemaa El Fna, the city's center square. This outdoor food market is part circus/part 'Bizarre Food' lovers dream. While there, Andrew eagerly consumes tongue, brains - and his favorite, pancreas.
From there, Andrew drives over the scenic Atlas mountains to Ouarzazate. In this desert city, Andrew meets his match in a plate of fermented meat called 'khli,' a popular Moroccan breakfast dish.
After a mixed grill of lamb's kidneys and livers, it's off to the seaside city of Essaouira, on the North African coast. Andrew buys his fresh fish right off the dock, discovering that the head of the sardine is actually the best part.
Finally, Andrew returns to Marrakech and the oldest market in North Africa, in search of one final treat: a roasted lamb eyeball!
