Oahu Island
The Hawaiian word "Oahu" means "gathering place," and it's a fitting name since most of Hawaii's population lives on the island. Bridget meets her ambassador to the islands, Miss Hawaii 2009 Auereana Tseu, and learns a traditional hula dance. She visits the birthplace of surfing, Waikiki Beach, and on the North Shore, pro surfers attack the waves of the Banzai Pipeline and get up close and personal with a school of sharks. Bridget gets a bird's eye view of the beach from a powered hang glider, and a native Hawaiian expert tells her the history of some of Oahu's most haunted spots.
