Northwest Arkansas Ghost Seekers (NWAGS) is based in a Springdale, Arkansas. The group takes a scientific approach to paranormal investigation. Conceived in November 2007 by Sheri Hillian, she and co-founder Melissa Jones began putting a team together in March 2008. Today, N.W.A.G.S. has 11 members -- Taylor, Melanie, Shelly, Jen, Kelli, Jeff, Phillip, Bonnie and J. Ryan -- with a variety of backgrounds, experiences and approaches from sensitives to skeptics.
N.W.A.G.S. investigates both public places and private residences. Some of their biggest investigations have included a Civil War battlefield and an abandoned hospital. The group tries to help their clients understand what may be happening in their homes or places of business by providing them with copies of the evidence they find.
The abandoned hospital has become a research facility for the group. They found the place to be extremely active. Investigators have encountered everything from cold spots and voices to having their hair pulled and seeing full-body apparitions. Activity seems to get stronger with each visit, and N.W.A.G.S. isn't sure if it's because the ghosts have simply become familiar with them or if the energy of the building is changing.
The last trip to the hospital included the sound of disembodied voices, a spirit that may have "clung" to co-founder Melissa for much of the investigation, and founder Sheri coming face to face with a shadow person and being followed by an imp-like apparition. Other evidence included an EVP of someone having trouble breathing, several photos of orbs and an image of a shadow person standing outside a room just a few feet away from a guest investigator.
The facility is on private ground, and investigations are very restricted and limited to only certain groups. N.W.A.G.S. considers itself lucky to have access to the facility.
