The Story:
The General Jackson Showboat is a 300-foot-long vessel modeled after the great paddlewheel riverboats that cruised the Southern waterways in the 1800s. The General Jackson showboat is named after a ship of the same name and built in 1985. The Showboat is known today for its cruises and the entertainment it provides on-board including, country music, gospels and musicals.
