Meet Tunna Milonoff

Tunna Milonoff is the director and the cinematographer of Madventures, but it is his twisted imagination and curiosity towards everything bizarre that is usually to blame for the often-unorthodox storylines. There are no aspects of the show this perfectionist doesn’t get involved in.

Brought up in the backstage of one of the most respected theaters in Finland, Tunna had been acting as a kid but always felt his place was behind the camera. After abandoning his studies of cultural anthropology, Tunna spent years exploring Europe and Asia with his backpack and his camera. He then made a five-year career as a gaffer in several feature films, popular TV series and hundreds of TV commercials and music videos.

Known as the director with a fresh, in-your-face approach and rough-edged, yet beautiful visuals, Tunna has received several awards for his original vision. These include the Finnish Emmy Awards for Best Show in 2008, Best Entertainment Show in 2006 and two Finnish Media & Message awards in 2005.

Besides many Madventures-related projects, Tunna co-directed Gimmeyawallet’s first film project “Monte Rosso,” a 38-minute short, which was funded by the Finnish Film Fund and the National Broadcasting Company and released on TV and in theaters in 2008.
