Travel in Mark and Olly's footsteps, and experience Peru and the Amazon for yourself. Head to the Sabeti Lodge, where Mark and Olly stayed before and after their four-month adventure with the Machigenga tribe.
Sabeti Lodge
The Sabeti Lodge is located by the Urubamba River, near the mouth of the Sabeti River. The lodge provides travelers with spectacular attractions, including colorful natural landscapes, biodiversity (specifically in birds and mammals) and unique places to visit, including the Megantoni National Sanctuary.
Machigenga mythology and culture are alive and well here. The lodge offers visitors the opportunity to watch shows and listen to habladores (storytellers), who share their abundant knowledge about Machigenga life and tradition.
The owners of Sabeti Lodge were important logistic partners of Cicada Productions in the making of "Living With the Machigenga." They invite everyone to find out more about their oasis in the middle of Machigenga paradise, near Machu Picchu and nestled in the forest of Cuzco, Peru.
