Zak Bagans, Ghost Adventures lead investigator, shares his summer must-haves.
What's on Zak's summer soundtrack?
Dracula, Book of Eli, District 9, The Proposition, Armin Van Buuren, DeadMau5, The Doors and of course, the Beastie Boys.
His favorite quick summer getaway is any place that's dark and out of the heat like the dungeon that he built in his basement. He jokes, "I was never the kid who went to camp during the summer."
Zak's favorite beach isn't a big, busy, overly-crowded one. He likes overcast, grey, foggy, cool, secluded beaches on the Oregon coast and off the cliffs of Scotland.
What did you do during childhood summer vacations?
"When I was a kid I used to do family trips to East Tawas, MI. Memories I'll never forget. We used to get so excited at the penny candy shop, fishing off the marina docks, making Smores by the campfires and eating perch fish fries." -- Zak Bagans
If money were no object, what would be your ultimate summer trip/destination?
"To rent out Dracula's castle in Romania and seal myself in there for 3 months. [I'd] simulate living 500 years ago and live by the medieval Code of Chivalry. No modern technology or electricity. Just candles. And hire people to simulate an army, knights, servants, etc. The whole 9 yards." -- Zak Bagans
