A link to Villa del Balbianello was e-mailed
Lenno, Italy
Just 25 miles north of Milan is Lake Como, where old world aristocracy meets Hollywood royalty. Villa del Balbianello is located in the village of Lenno on a promontory that juts dramatically into the lake. It was built in 1787 on the site of a Franciscan monastery, its 2 towers still intact. The villa now houses a small museum with artwork and period furnishings, but it’s most famous for its terraced gardens, which have been featured in several films, including Casino Royale. Can you think of a more appropriate place for James Bond to convalesce?
