Snow-rimmed and majestic, the Canadian Rocky Mountains are the centerpiece of Banff National Park, Canada’s first national park and UNESCO World Heritage site. Its first visitors came for the hot springs, and while a soothing mineral bath is still a draw, there are so many more activities to enjoy in this winter wonderland. How about a horse-drawn sleigh ride with a cup of cocoa? For the more adventurous, fling yourself out of a helicopter and ski down the Rockies, leaving a silvery trail of snow.
