While you can’t sleep at the famed Fontainebleau Palace like French monarchs of yore, the next best place to rest your head where French nobility once slept is at the Château de Bourron, just 4 miles down the road. In fact, the historic castle shares a 100-acre forest with the palace just outside of Paris. The grounds boast a blend of old French feudalism and grandeur like a moat and formal manicured gardens.
