Spain’s Toro region has been the source of some of the country’s finest wines for centuries -- ancient Greeks taught the local Celtic tribes how to craft the libation at the end of the first century B.C. These were the first wines traded in the River Duero region, which flows from north-central Spain to Porto, Portugal. Visitors to Toro enjoy big red wines and snack on local chorizo amid rugged terrain.
