Faux Falls

Moab, Utah

Two national parks, Arches and Canyonlands, lure outdoor enthusiasts to this red rock-speckled domain near Moab, in eastern Utah. There's something for everyone here: Cool off in the frigid waters of the Colorado River, toss a fishing line into Ken's Lake, hike the myriad rocky trails or nibble a picnic lunch next to a splashing waterfall. Biking enthusiasts will want to ride challenging, 13-mile  Slickrock Trail, which brings tens of thousands of cyclists to the region each year.
