Old Round Island Point Lighthouse
Also known as the Old Round Island Point Lighthouse, the Mackinac Island Lighthouse rises above uninhabited Round Island in the Straits of Mackinac, which stretch between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Put into service in 1896, the lighthouse helped guide vessels around the dangerous shoals lining the channel. Today visitors can see restored living quarters and climb to the top of the tower.
