Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts

In 1880, the town known today as Oak Bluffs was incorporated as “Cottage City.” Its original name is still a great descriptor since its colorful “gingerbread” cottages are among the main attractions on Martha’s Vineyard. The balconied, yellow, blue, pink and green homes are a quaint backdrop for kite flying on a windy day or touch football on Oak Bluffs beach.
