Kenya, Africa

Kenya has been leading antipoaching efforts in southern and eastern Africa. Still, rhino sightings are exceedingly rare -- the total population in Masai Mara National Reserve is thought to total 50 -- as a result of aggressive illegal hunters who target the 7,500-lbs. mammals for their horns. Safari-goers should also look out for other big 5 beasts -- lions, water buffalo, elephants and leopards -- in this 583-square-mile grassland.
