Multnomah Falls

Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

According to lore, Multnomah Falls was created to win the heart of a princess who desired a private area to bathe. Her wish was granted in the form of this stunning 611-foot-tall waterfall. The falls now welcome all with misty sprays and convenient hiking paths. No trip to the spectacular Columbia Gorge is complete without a stop at nearby Multnomah Falls Lodge. Built in 1925, the lodge, which offers unbeatable views of this captivating natural landmark, was constructed utilizing every type of rock found in the gorge.
