San Francisco, California

In the midst of San Francisco’s Victorian home-filled streets stands an architectural wonder of a whole different kind. Inspired by the ancient structures of the Roman and Greek empires, the Palace of Fine Arts was originally built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition. Now the only remaining structure standing, it’s the perfect place to step back in time  as you stroll under the Roman arches around a peaceful blue lagoon.
