No visit to Barcelona would be complete without a stop at creative architect Antoni Gaudi's modernistic masterpiece, Sagrada Familia, an unfinished cathedral in the heart of Barcelona. A leader in the Catalan Modernism architectural style, Gaudi was obsessed with symbolism and dedicated to the curves and shapes seen in nature. See his work today at Park Guell, a public park atop a hill, which overlooks Barcelona. Here, Gaudi filled a several-acre-sized garden with a plenitude of structures in his inimitable, whimsical style.
