To be considered an official arch, there has to be at least a 3-foot opening. Travelers will find more than 2,000 natural, red sandstone arches in Arches National Park, some of which span more than 300 feet. Dozens of trails lead to these famous arches, past spires and monoliths that exist nowhere else in the world. Best of all, you don’t have to travel too far from civilization to experience this red rock wonderland. It’s only about 5 miles from Moab, Utah.
