You gotta want it. Secret Beach on Maui is a tiny beach hidden behind a wall with a hard-to-find entrance squeezed between 2 oceanfront estates. It’s only about 100 yards long with several rock pools and some lovely palm trees. Ask around the larger, better-known beach at Makena Cove for its location. You might find it’s not all that secret, given its popularity with photographers -- go early if you’re seeking solitude. The swimming isn’t great due to rocks and a reef, but the view is worth the search, especially at sunset.
