Seattle, Washington

Would Seattle even be Seattle without its Space Needle? The 604-foot futurist structure was built in 1962 for the Seattle World’s Fair (at the time it was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River) and has been one of the Pacific Northwest’s iconic structures ever since. Hundreds of visitors head to the Needle’s observation deck every day; some vie for coveted dinner reservations at the SkyCity restaurant. Here, dishes such as wild king salmon and hay roasted pork chops compete for attention with rotating city views.
