Summer in Tasiilaq
Ammassalik Island, Greenland
Rolling seas, steep mountains and fjords mark eastern Greenland's remote landscape. The region is only accessible to supply ships 6 months of the year. Tasiilaq, eastern Greenland's largest town, is home to just over 2,000 inhabitants and is one of the world's most isolated settlements. Popular activities in the region include hiking the nearby Flower Valley and kayaking in summer, and dog sledding in winter.
