You'll be on top of the world at Taft Point, where fissure-mottled slabs of granite rise like skyscrapers from the valley a mile below. From this aerial viewpoint, the Yosemite Valley spreads out like nature's blanket. In winter, you can ski the slightly steep trail; in summer, hike it. For jaw-dropping views, arrive in time for sunset, and look toward Horse Trail Falls, where the sky turns mango and tangerine at dusk.
