There are 180-degree Pacific Ocean views from each of the 18 holes on this Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, carved out of a black lava cliffside 150 feet above the water. At every green, your ball risks plunging down into the Pacific, but nowhere more so than by the 12th hole, where golfers have to hit over 200 yards of waves. Still, the course encourages golfers of all levels to play, though be sure to show up in game attire -- collared shirts, slacks or shorts no shorter than 1-inch above the knee -- with the $225 course fee kindly paid in full.
