Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore

Nestled at the Baltimore Harbor's edge, this luxurious high-rise hotel offers a peerless vantage point for enjoying sunsets and harbor views. Whether you’re appreciating the scenery from the privacy of your suite, lounging in the hotel's infinity pool or chilling on the deck, the staff pampers you at every turn. Treat yourself further by visiting the state-of-the-art spa for a little relaxation and beautification. The spa's über-deluxe Night Spa Experience includes heat treatments, massages, rose petal baths and dinner on the terrace or in a candlelit suite. There are 2 restaurants on site: star chef Michael Mina’s American-accented Wit & Wisdom and his Japanese izakaya-style PABU, which offers sushi, small plates more than 100 sakes. Java junkies can geek out at the hotel's café, LAMILL COFFEE, where they'll find artfully pulled espressos, brewed coffees and addictive pastries.

There are only 12 meticulously maintained suites, all featuring balconies, generously-proportioned tubs and king-sized berths suited up with organic bedding. There’s an antiquated majesty to this downtown hotel built inside the former B&O Railroad Headquarters Building. The lobby boasts a soaring, 3-story-high ceiling with an eye-catching crystal chandelier and marble staircases. There’s a sense of inclusivity – pets are welcomed and kids are encouraged. If you want to be active during your stay, there’s a 24-hour gym, yoga mats in every room, and free bike rentals available from the front desk. The hotel's amenities focus on fun, such as a complimentary hosted wine hour every evening and the option to have a goldfish placed in your room for the duration of your stay (no feeding or maintenance required!). The onsite B&O American Brasserie focuses on continental classics with fancy flourishes – a burger dressed with sweet bacon jam and charred onion aioli, wings tossed in sriracha and honey and brick oven-fired pizzas.

There are only 6 rooms at this well-appointed B&B in the Federal Hill neighborhood near downtown, so you’d better book early. It’s a perfect hideaway for lovebirds, since 4 of the rooms feature working fireplaces and 2 include whirlpool tubs. The proprietors are happy to help you ramp up the romance by arranging for chocolate dipped strawberries, flower arrangements or a picnic and day trip. A short distance from the hotel, you can sup on high-minded Low Country fare at Charleston Restaurant or classic Chesapeake seafood at Ryleigh’s Oyster. The B&B's bonus features: Free off-street parking and day passes to Federal Hill Fitness nearby.

Positioned at the center of the historic Fell’s Point neighborhood, this 80-room hotel feels like a throwback to another era. At the turn of the 20th century the building served as a boardinghouse for sailors. In the intervening years, the space was modernized while losing none of its historical charm. Today some of the Inn's top-end rooms include a Jacuzzi or a balcony, bringing relief to seafarers and landlubbers alike. For casual drinks, visit the Tavern at the Admiral. Onsite dining options include Tapas Adela and Italian bistro-lounge Anastasia, though we recommend dining at the Thames Street Oyster House and Heavy Seas Alehouse, both located nearby.
