A luxury, beachfront hotel, the Hotel Del Coronado -- "The Del" -- is full of history. Not only is it one of the largest all-wooden structures in California, but it's also one of the few surviving architectural examples of a wooden Victorian beach resort and is a designated National Historic Landmark.
