Hotel Jested

Liberec, Czech Republic

An iconic symbol in Liberec, Jested is Czech Republic’s version of Seattle’s Space Needle. Built to transmit television signals, it reaches more than 300 feet tall, and its special design helps it withstand the area’s extreme climate conditions. Eventually, this strange structure came to house a restaurant and budget-friendly hotel as well. Locals and tourists alike come in droves to dine above the clouds on hearty Czech fare and witness sunsets over the Jizera Mountains.
