Supported by the Irish Aviation Authority, the Bray Air Spectacular is one of the best-attended air shows in Europe. The 3-hour event highlights the history of aviation, as well as the skill involved in maneuvering the aircrafts. The 2014 show opened with the Black Knights Defense Forces Parachute Team, which was followed by a 1942 Boeing Stearman that was used to train cadets during WWII. Also featured was an acrobatic display on the de Havilland DH.100 Vampire, a jet fighter flown by the Norwegian Air Force in the 1950s.
