You won't need a crown to feel like royalty at Seville's Hotel Alfonso XIII. Built to host VIP guests for a world's fair in 1929, the Moorish-style hotel opened to much fanfare the same year, with an inaugural banquet attended by King Alfonso and Queen Victoria Eugenie. Refurbished in 2012, Hotel Alfonso boasts a melange of period features, including ornamental towers, Mudejar archways and antiques once owned by Spain’s royal family. In the heart of the Andalusian city, the hotel now regularly hosts local matadors and flamenco artists in its bars and restaurants.
