HarborWalk Village is the epicenter of action in Destin. With live entertainment, water sports and waterfront shopping and restaurants, the entire family will be entertained here for hours.
Track Family Recreation Cente
The perfect cure for the summer boredoms? Take the kids to the Track Family Recreation Center for go-karting, mini-golf, bumper cars and rides. For the “ fastest ride in town” take the plunge with a 75-foot bungee jump.
Partygoers won’t want to miss checking out Crab Island, a popular sandbar for anchoring your boat and having some fun. Tourists and locals alike sunbathe on boats, snorkel, and enjoy the floating food vendors. Families can steer clear of the rowdy crowds and take advantage of kid-friendly attractions like a giant inflatable slide and trampoline.
One of the best things to do on a visit to Destin? Dolphin watching on the emerald green Gulf waters. There are numerous dolphin cruises to choose from such as the Sea Blaster, a 73-foot passenger boat -- the Gulf’s largest speedboat.
Fisherman's Wharf Seafood
You can’t visit this beach town and not sample its mouthwatering fresh seafood. A local favorite, Fisherman’s Wharf Seafood lets its diners bring in their fresh catch to the restaurant where they'll cook it to perfection for you. Don’t worry, if you’re not a skilled fisherman you can still feast on the locals’ best seafood – grouper and mahi mahi.
Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park
Want to see dolphins, sea lions, harbor seals, turtles, stingrays and more all in one place? Head to the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park. Since it opened in 1955, the Gulfarium has entertained and educated kids of all ages with marine shows and exhibits.
Henderson Beach State Park
A family-friendly beach, Henderson Beach State Park is a 208-acre natural habitat full of sand pines, southern magnolias and wildflowers. If a few hours doesn’t seem like enough time to enjoy this natural oasis, spend the night at the park’s campground.
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort
Where’s the best place to tee off this in this golf lover’s town? Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is not only one of the best places to golf in Destin, but also in the entire country with 72 holes spread over 4 championship courses.
Fort Walton Beach
One of the most popular beaches on the Emerald Coast, Fort Walton Beach’s powdery sands are located between Pensacola and Panama City. Family-friendly resorts, numerous golf courses, and seafood restaurants galore– there’s something here for every type of beach-goer.
Gator Beach … sounds a bit frightening, right? Don’t worry; you won’t be swimming with the 100 alligators that live here. This free educational exhibit located at Fudpucker's Restaurant is perfect for children and families to learn all about gators – you can even feed them and get your picture taken with one.
