Arches National Park

Arches National Park

Moab, Utah

There are more than 2,000 arches in the park, but you're bent on just one, the Delicate Arch. The hiking trail to this sandstone spectacle begins at Wolfe Ranch and weaves through ruddy rubble before spilling you, neck-craned, onto its base. How can something so imposing be so fragile?
