What's Cool: Unique diversity of plant and animal life Darwin saw firsthand
-----------------------------------------
"We seem to be brought near to the first appearance of new beings on this earth," said Darwin after his visit to the Galapagos Islands in 1835. Visitors will certainly discover new marine life in the waters off the Galapagos. If the underwater attractions of the schooling hammerheads (some 12 to 15 feet long) and the marine iguanas are not enough, there is also the opportunity to see the land Darwin explored and observe the variety of creatures that call the Galapagos Islands home.
