-----------------------------------------
Located in the heart of Boston, the Museum of Fine Arts houses a permanent collection of Egyptian artifacts, many of which were excavated during the museum's private digs. These digs, initiated by museum officials in the late nineteenth century, continue today and have uncovered many remarkable pieces. Among the most famous are the statue of the pharaoh Mycerinus with his wife and a bust of Prince Ankh-haf.
