The pool at the Standard Hotel certainly outdoes the image conjured up by its name - it is anything but "standard." Nestled in a deck that is a sea of electric-blue AstroTurf, the pool is favored by both stars and star-gazers alike: Guests can use the telescopic view finders on the pool deck to check out the night sky or the stars that cruise by on Sunset Boulevard. Andre Balaza, with co-owners Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz, has created a hip, playful pool for any kid-at-heart.
