Sturgis Pretzels is the oldest pretzel bakery in America; since 1861, Sturgis has been producing pretzels that are shaped by hand and then cooked in an authentic brick oven. At the factory in Lancaster County, Pa., visitors watch these expert pretzel-crafters create flawless pretzels, and then test what they learned while shaping a pretzel of their own. It's harder than it looks, and most of these hand-crafted pretzels would not be mistaken for a Sturgis original. Don't let the old-fashioned vibe fool you because Sturgis sure knows how to shake things up - with special hand-coated flavors like apple-cinnamon and raisin, jalapeno, Maryland crab, and honey mustard and onion.
