In the middle of San Jose, California (of all places), is a museum modeled after the Temple of Amon at Karnak that is dedicated to Egyptian history. The folks at the Rosicrucian Museum boast one of the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts in the United States and invite visitors to explore, among other things, a full-scale replica of a noble's tomb (its walls decorated with images of life along the Nile) and the magnificent Rosicrucian Park, complete with elaborate fountains and statues of Egyptian gods.
