Oversleeping. Flat tire. Timid cab driver. There are many reasons for missing a flight, but this is a new one.
It seems that a woman, who had already passed through airport security, was asked to hand over the water she was carrying to a TSA agent for testing.
Instead, she drank it.
Her lack of compliance to the letter of his order set the agent off, and he delayed her enough to miss her flight.
When challenged by her that he was not detaining her as a security risk, but was holding her merely as retribution for her not obeying him, he said: “Pretty much, yes.”
More proof that a badge and absolute power corrupts? Absolutely.
