British Airways

Onboard a British Airways flight between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and London's Heathrow Airport (LHR), passengers have an assortment of lunch options, including cheesecake for dessert.

Air France

Beef stew, pasta, orzo, bread and more! An example of a warm and filling dinner onboard Air France. Depending on your flight’s departure time and duration, Air France offers an appropriate meal: breakfast, snack or dinner.

Virgin Atlantic

A well-balanced dinner onboard Virgin Atlantic’s cross-Atlantic flights.

All Nippon Airways

ANA’s (All Nippon Airways) London serves a traditional Japanese meal for business-class travelers. The presentation itself beats a casual airplane food tray any day!

United Airways

Onboard a United Airways flight, lunch between San Francisco (SFO) and Hong Kong (HKG) is a delicious surf-and-turf meal consisting of sauteed prawns and crispy Dakota beef, organic short rib wontons with organic Thai barbecue sauce and sweet-and-sour cucumber relish.

American Airlines

Mmm … who doesn’t love a personal-size cheese pizza? Onboard an American Airlines trans-Atlantic flight, pizza is a crowd pleaser, especially for those smaller passengers.

Turkish Airlines

A hearty snack onboard Turkish Airlines.

Royal Dutch Airlines

It's hard to beat good 'ole comfort food on a long flight. Here, a well-balanced meal is served onboard a KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight between Toronto and Amsterdam.

Northwest Airlines

Where to dig in first? The entree or the dessert? You'll receive a filling meal onboard a Northwest Airlines flight between Amsterdam to Mumbai.

Shanghai Airlines

Shanghai Airlines offers a simple snack onboard a short two-hour flight between Guilin, China, and Shanghai.

Continental Airlines

Continental Airlines, which recently merged with United Airlines, serves up hearty meals, like this one, on Trans-Atlantic, Trans-Pacific and South American flights.

Delta Airlines

An example of Delta Airlines's complimentary meal service. Delta.com offers a detailed breakdown of when the airline serves a full meal. They offer complimentary meal service on most international flights six hours or more, and on select flights to Alaska and Hawaii.

Lufthansa Airlines

Flying from Frankfurt, Germany to Beijing on Lufthansa Airlines will get passengers a meal that includes chicken with noodles, potato salad, cake, a dinner roll and tea.

Singapore Airlines

In our opinion, Singapore Airlines rules them all in terms of best airline cuisine -- catering to first- and business-class customers. Those traveling between Singapore and Japan, and Tokyo and Los Angeles, have the option of an authentic Japanese fine-dining experience.

Avianca Airlines

This dinner plate onboard Avianca Airlines consists of grouper fillet in bechamel sauce, served with fried coriander, Creole potato, steamed broccoli and sauteed vegetables.

Korean Air

A substantial vegan meal option is offered onboard Korean Air.
