Why we like it -- You can check your flight status easily enough on any number of mobile websites, but FlightTrack beats them all, and turns this task into a pleasure. The app tells you the arrival time and gate of every flight and offers alternate routes if your flight is cancelled -- all in a beautiful, graphically rich format.
When you upgrade to FlightTrack Pro for an extra $5, you get some nice added features. FlightTrack Pro syncs with TripIt.com, so your travel itinerary automatically appears within the app. Plus when you select a particular route and airline, the app will predict the on-time arrival details.
Improvements we’d like to see -- BlackBerry users complain that the app doesn't work as well as it does on other platforms. And on the iPhone "Pro" version I tested, it could not predict on-time arrival for some flights I specified.
