Find a good restaurant on the fly.

Why we like it -- It can be a chore finding good food in an unfamiliar city. Urbanspoon puts a dash of fun into the experience, with a slot-machine simulator. Give it a spin and Urbanspoon suggests the best nearby spot, and you can also select a type of food or price range to narrow your choices. Reviews, written by other diners, help you narrow down the search.

Improvements we'd like to see -- The app has good coverage in big cities, but smaller cities and suburban enclaves get short shrift. Urban Spoon's international coverage is also weak.
