Cool Tools: Travel Edition Pictures

Chris Grundy explored the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) looking for the latest in travel gear and gadgets. Here's what he discovered.

LG unveiled a 55-inch 3D OLED TV that is the thinnest and lightest OLED TV on the market. It features voice and gesture recognition.

There's no need to worry about where your keys are with SimpliciKey. The electronic deadbolt can be opened using a remote control or by simply entering a code into the keypad.

These earphones won't get tangled because of their unique Zipper-integrated cabling. They provide superior sound with comfortable eartips. Zipbuds can be used with iPads, iPods, iPhones, Andriods and other media devices.

Chris had the opportunity to try out Mercedes-Benz's Dynamic and Intuitive Control Experience (DICE). DICE is an augmented reality-based dashboard that allows users to control features of their car with simple hand movements. Users can also see weather, social media, messages, GPS and more.

The Mobileye 5 Driver Assistance product helps identify situations that could become dangerous, such as lane departures, pedestrian presence and headway monitoring. It can also help control the car by doing things like switching high beams on and off. This model has Bluetooth, so critical real-time warnings can be delivered to a smartphone.

The Casio 3-D Digital Painting tool will transform 2-D images into 3-D masterpieces by either adding subtle texture or making them truly 3-D like the cat in this picture. They hope to have the product on the market soon.

The Celluon Prodigy Laser Projected Keyboard lets you add a full-sized keyboard to any smartphone. Just attach your device and project the keyboard on a surface so you can type away.

A task as simple as shaving is now enhanced with the Schick Hydro Power Select Razor. Users can select from 3 settings to find the vibration that is best for them. It also has a hydrating gel reservoir that when activated with water releases a gel to soothe skin.

The GorillaMobile is a one-of-a-kind mobile entertainment kit that lets you attach devices such as your smartphone or digital camera to unusual places. It includes adhesive cups, suction cups, rubber foot grips and a camera adapter screw.

The House of Marley Bag of Rhythm lets you turn your iPod, iPhone or any other portable music device into an audio system. The bag includes twin tweeters and woofers to amplify the sound.

Casio's G-Shock Smart Watch is Bluetooth-LE enabled so the watch can connect to your phone and alert you to e-mails, calls and texts, and help you locate your phone if you can't remember where you put it.

The IC Realtime ICRSS Home Security App lets you control up to 9 cameras set up in your home. With the app you can move, tilt or zoom them and power them on or off.

The iBallz are a great way to protect your tablet. They slip onto the corners of your device and prevent damage when it is dropped. You can also use them to position your tablet in a tilt position for typing or watching movies.

These Case-Mate Tank cases are military-grade strength and can stand up to any abuse you put your iPhone through. The retractable screen shield slides into place to prevent cracking and condensation.

Victorinox, the makers of Swiss Army Knives, are now entering the flash drive market. In the new product, the flash drive can either take the place of the knife or be added onto one. They range in size from 4GB and higher, and some offer a layer of protection that only allows access via fingerprint recognition.

The Bone Collection Horn Stand adds 13 decibels of sound pressure to your iPhone, and can also be used to prop the phone in the vertical or horizontal positions.

Optrix HD is a sports case that transforms your iPhone 4S/4/iPod into an HD action sports camera. It is waterproof so it can withstand all types of weather. The case includes an anti-vibration sled to help limit vibrations.
