Former guests at the now-closed Brookdale Lodge often spotted a little girl, dressed in a blue and white Sunday dress, walking through the lobby, sitting beside the fire, or playing on a balcony that was off-limits. Occasionally, the little girl would approach strangers, appearing distraught, frantically searching for her mother. But then, just as quickly as she appeared … she was gone. It’s rumored that the often-sighted little girl was the ghost of 6-year-old Sarah Logan, who drowned in the creek that runs through the lodge’s dining room. But Sarah Logan isn’t the only departed spirit that still lingers in the lodge – it’s believed that there are almost 50 others.
